May 19, 2020:
Dear RAMPP Families,
We hope this email finds you safe, healthy and happy at home. We and rest of the RAMPP teachers are doing well, except we miss the preschoolers!
We have been researching and discussing the possible options for opening in September and are confident that we will be able to open RAMPP! We will make quite a few changes to our environment and routines in order to keep the children, teachers and all of our families as healthy as possible. While we are sure that the information about best practices will change before September, we have a basic plan in mind and will work out the details closer to September. At this point, we plan to create separate classrooms with no more than 8 children in each class. Your child will be with the same children every day that they attend so we can limit the number of people everyone is exposed to each week. Each classroom will have one main teacher with a floater teacher available to help in any classroom as needed. We will add to our usual cleaning routines to make sure everyone washes hands regularly, and toys and surfaces are disinfected often. We will need to be more strict with our illness policies and our morning health checks, so teachers and children will be sent home when sick.
While these changes will make RAMPP look different and there will be changes to our daily routines, we will still be following the same play-based, STEM focused curriculum with child led projects and plenty of mud.
How can you help now?
You can help your child prepare for school by working with them on becoming independent with many skills but especially with hand washing, for 20 seconds, when they enter your house, before eating, and after toileting or having a diaper change. You can also help them learn how to use hand sanitizer properly, how to use a tissue to blow their nose and how to dispose of used tissues. (Back into the tissue box is NOT where it goes!)
Tuition Deposit Payments:
In order to keep paying the rent and utilities over the summer, we will need your deposit to hold your child's space. If you have not already given us this $350 deposit, please mail it to us at 2517 Grenoble Rd, Henrico VA 23294
